We’re here!

Good morning stitchers!

Whilst our website is still in progress, I thought I would take this opportunity to revamp the blog and use it as a way of communicating Stitch Solihull news, offers and events. So here we are!

First things first – welcome to the blog home of our beautiful shop. We love our shop, and we hope you do too. Our aim is to make people feel welcome, and to be able to offer advice not only on the products available, but also with any knitting, crochet, embroidery or sewing projects you might have.

We have Stitch & Sip sessions three times a week:

Thursday 11am – 1pm
Friday 2pm – 4pm
Saturday 11am – 1pm

It’s £1 to attend, but this covers the cost of the light refreshments we always have on offer!

We are very pleased to be able to offer workshops in our specially built workspace room. Courses available at the moment are:

Beginners Crochet with Denise Quinn from Peeko Crochet
Wednesday 15th May 10am – 1230pm or Saturday 18th May 2pm – 430pm

Beginners Sewing
Saturday 1st June 2pm – 430pm or Thursday 13th June 10am – 1230pm.

There is a maximum of six people per workshop. The cost is £25 and this includes all your materials and light refreshments. Workshops can be booked either in store or by calling us on 0121 314 6888 and payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place!

We are getting new stock in all the time. We’ve just had a delivery of SchoppelWolle Zauberballs including some new shades that we did not previously stock. We have also just started stocking Bergere de France Coton Fifty, which is perfect for those summer knits. We are also able to offer patterns for this yarn, including the new Mag 167 from Bergere de France. We intend to update the Stitch Solihull hand dyed yarn at the beginning of June, and there will definitely be a huge range of yummy treats! We also plan on running some knitting workshops beginning in June and we are also working on running some machine embroidery workshops too! We have also recently taken delivery of embroidery threads and 14 and 16 count aida for those of you who stitch your own designs!

We are pleased that our pattern finding service is now up and running! Using the powers of Ravelry, we are able to find you a single pattern to match your requirements and print it off for you here in store! The pattern finding service is free of charge, with payment only being required for any patterns that you choose to purchase through the service.

And finally….we are having a giveaway on our Facebook page, which ends at 6pm on Saturday 11th May. Like our page, and share and like the giveaway post and you could win a place on the Beginners Crochet workshop on Wednesday 15th May! Good luck!
