Christmas Competition!

Hello Stitchers!

Exciting news – we’re having a competition! Christmas is coming, and what better way to put your stitchy skills to the test than to enter our Christmas Decoration Competition? Entries are now open!

We’re happy to accept entries in the following categories:

– Knitting
– Crochet
– Sewing
– Other

“What does ‘other’ construe?” I hear you ask. Anything that’s textiles but doesn’t fit into the other categories! It could be appliqué, embroidery, needle felting, or something mixed media. If you’re unsure about what category your entry should be in, then show us what you’ve made and we’ll discuss it with you!

To enter the competition, you’ll need to use Christmas Decoration Entry Form. Make sure you fill in all of your details!

I bet you want to know the prizes too…

We’ll be having a winner for each category, who will each win a £10 Stitch Solihull voucher. We’ll also have an overall winner, who will win a place on a workshop of their choice! Entries will be judged by the garden centre manager, Peter, to ensure that a fair and unbiased winner is chosen. His decision will be final.

The closing date for entries is 5pm Thursday 19th December. After this, entries will be judged, and we’ll be announcing the winners on Saturday 21st December. We’re going to make it a special day, by having mince pies, mulled wine, christmas songs and more, with a winners ceremony, so make sure you come along to see if you’ve won!

We’ll be displaying all of your lovely decorations in the shop, and we’ll be posting about the entries on our blog & social media sites too, including photographs. All we ask is that your entry is completely handmade by you.

We can’t wait to see your entries!
