Xmas Gifts – Now online!

Hello Stitchers!

It’s been a while, and for that I am sorry! But i’ve been a little busy here, spending some time with a camera, and the laptop, and various christmassy bits here. However, I am pleased to say our online shop is now Open! You can view it by going here or by using the Shop Online tab at the top. We can post out using Royal Mail, or we also offer a collect in store option, for free! So if you haven’t started christmas shopping yet, now is the perfect time!

I’ve added lots of stock including Easyknits, Fyberspates, UK Alpaca and Sweet Georgia to the Online Shop for now, but what you’ll also see are our wonderful Kits……

We’ve got a wide range of kits that we’ve put together as nicely packaged, ready to give gifts. You won’t even need to wrap them, unless you really want to! They range from £4.50 up to £50 and cover all ages, abilities and skills. There are cute button bracelets, french knitting, and flower corsages to make, there are bunting kits and knitter’s kits. Over the coming week, I’m going to do some more posts about the kits, so you know what’s in them and maybe you’ll see one you like for a loved one.

It’s really getting christmassy here now we’ve got all of our kits out on display on our ‘christmas tree’ which is complementing our proper tree rather wonderfully. Notcutts have had a chimenea burning, which smells delicious, and we’re loving having a view of the goats and reindeer in Santa’s Grotto, as well as the cheery christmas songs. I paid a visit to see Santa with Lily, my 3 year old daughter. It was a fabulous experience, and she loved meeting the goats, the 2 lovely miniature shetland ponies, and three reindeer. The walk through is really magical with polar bears, snow and christmas lights. And of course, we met the man himself, but she really wasn’t very impressed. In fact, she cried throughout. Maybe next year…..

We’re also loving receiving your Christmas Decoration entries! We’ve had some fabulous ones so far, including some festive bunting, a fabulous cushion, and a rather large but very cute robin! You’ve still got until 19th December to enter, and make sure you join us on 21st December for our festive day and winner’s accouncement!

I’ll be photographing more stock next week. There’s still the cross stitch and tapestry kits, knitting needle sets, plus the Milla Mia, Mille Colori and Kunstgarn yarns to add. If you’re really lucky, I’ll add my hand dyed yarns too, I’ve already added the fibre! We now also have hand made Drop Spindles in store for use with our fibre, and they’re priced at £7 each. I’ve just finished my first proper hand spun yarn using a drop spindle, and I can’t wait to knit it up!

Finally…..we’re hoping to get the January to March course schedule up over the weekend, we’re just waiting on a couple of tutor confirmations…..

Until next week, happy shopping!

Vick x
