We’re getting very excited about our Birthday Stitch Up in just over 2 weeks. We’ve now added Sparkleduck to the line up, which is brilliant! Like last time, we’ll have our lovely social area again, so you’ll be welcome to stay as long as you like!
Anyway, now we’re in March, it felt like it was time to do our Spring Switch. This means all the lovely cotton yarns are back, and we’ve condensed the Aran and Chunky yarns. It means a little move around in the shop, so I’ll give you a little tour…
Fancy DK including Fyberspates vivacious DK, UK alpaca DK, and bommix bamboo.
Fancy 4ply and lace including sock yarns
All of the Stitch Solihull kits have moved to this unit next to the till
Now, here’s something new! We’ve moved the Sweet Georgia Yarns and kits to here. They have a new neighbour, which are these lovely needle felting kits from Hawthorn Handmade. There are mini brooch kits for £8.50, or animal kits for £15. They contain British wool, and we currently stock a robin, rabbit or of course a sheep! Brooches include badgers, foxes and owls. Who doesn’t love woodland animals?!
This lovely, sunny display of Bergere de France Coton Fifty welcomes you as you come into the shop. This 4ply cotton yarn will be great for summer garments, but also works well for crochet.
Aran and Chunky yarns are back in this 3-sided unit. Hang on a minute…do I spy some new Malabrigo Rios colours? Why, yes! We have restocked the gorgeous Ravelry Red, and also added Lettuce and Purple Mystery. I must admit, I’m a little bit in love with purple mystery…
Needle sets are now on top of the Aran/chunky unit…we do love HiyaHiya!
The single needles and hooks have also been spread out a bit…
Stitch Solihull Hand dyed yarns are back in the unit under the window.
We now have a new unit in the shop, which has become home to The Stitching Shed cross stitch & tapestry kits. Tuliptree & fabric buttons can be found on the end of the unit…
And all of the Haberdashery stock is on the other side!
We’ve also had some new fabrics in from Makower. These are from the Henna range by Beth Studley.
Aren’t they gorgeous? We’ll be having some more fabric deliveries over the next few months. We’re expecting some new buttons too!
Anyway, I think I’ve rambled enough now! Don’t forget you can shop online at http://stitchsolihull.tictail.com and you can also book spaces on workshops via this link. We’re excited to be hosting two workshops with Rachel Coopey this weekend! We’ll be having Beginner’s Socks from 10am-1pm which costs £30 on our special offer, or Advanced Socks from 2pm-5pm for £35. Come and join us, it will be fun!
