Its our First Birthday!

Good Afternoon Stitchers!

We’ve made no secret that we’re celebrating our first birthday in style! We’re very much looking forward to the Stitch Up tomorrow. Raven Handspun has already set up, Knitting Goddess are setting up as I speak, and it’s looking rather fabulous so far! If you haven’t heard about it by now, our Stitch Up is a free event where we’ll be showcasing a handful of specially selected independent retailers. We’ll be open as usual from 10am till 5pm. Come along, have a look round, and join us for a celebratory slice of cake!

Talking of cake….firstly we’d like to say a huge thank you to our chief cake-maker and occasional shop sitter, Mandy. One of our supporters from the very beginning of Stitch Solihull, Mandy has knitted since 19-hundred-and-frozen-to-death (her words) and so she has a lot of knowledge and can usually sort out any knitterly troubles. She makes the best chocolate brownies and best carrot cake I’ve ever tasted, so thank you!

We’d also like to say thank you to Martin and Jill for their behind the scenes support and for also covering the shop so very frequently, despite living near York!

But the biggest thank you of all definitely goes to you, our wonderful friends, supporters and loyal customers. Without you, there wouldn’t be a Stitch Solihull. We love seeing your projects hearing your ideas, we love teaching you, and we love putting the world to rights with you! You’ve helped us to develop the shop and spread the Stitchy word, and for that we cannot thank you enough.

We really hope you can join us to celebrate this weekend. It will certainly be a lot of fun, and there are lots of yummy goodies to be had!

Happy Stitching!

Ana and Vickie
