I am so pleased to announce that on Saturday October 25th we will be hosting one of our amazing Stitch Up events. For those who haven’t been to one before, a Stitch Up is our twice yearly celebration of all things woolly, a mini festival of sorts. We play host to a variety of independent stall holders who bring their gorgeous goodies to tempt you. There is an all day knit (and crochet and spin) and natter with light refreshments available. Plus of course the shop will be open as usual to keep you stocked up with needles and supplies for all your new projects.
The event opens at 10am and runs until 4pm. Admission is free and there is plenty of free and unrestricted parking available on site. Everyone is very welcome so why not bring your friends and make a day of it?
Confirmed stall holders for this year are:
Katie will be bringing a wonderful array of hand dyed fibre and spinning accessories. She specialises in subtle colour combinations and fibre from British sheep breeds. There are also wonderful beginners drop spindle kits, perfect for a first introduction to the addictiveness of spinning. Katie attended our first Stitch Up last October and it’s great to have her back.
Rosie is an indie dyer specialising in hand painted yarns and fibres. She takes her inspiration from the countryside around her and prefers to use bases spun in Britain where possible.
As well as being mum to Katie from Hilltop Cloud, Elaine is also a talented sewer and will be bringing a range of sewn accessories perfect for complimenting your knitting. Spinners aprons, project bags and needle cases all stitched up in a range of specially selected fabrics.
Charlie is a regular at our Stitch and Sip sessions as well as being a super talented crocheter. She will be bringing a range of her crocheted home wares and accessories to tempt you all.
I can’t wait so please put Saturday October 25th in your diary and join us for an incredible day of fibre, friends and fun!
